Is anyone else feeling like customers who have become more impatient and aggressive post-pandemic? I can't tell if I'm overanalyzing this, but I notice that even small issues are escalating so much, and I've only noticed this in the last few years of my 10-year-long career.

Absolutely. You think that after everything we all went through as a society, people would be more patient and understanding with each other. But it feels like the entitlement and anger are at an all-time high.

Kind of feels that way. There were a couple weeks there where everyone praised us for keeping shelves stocked and putting ourselves at risk to do it. Should've known it was too good to last.

Well, as one essential worker to another…. Thank you!!

Yes! More impatient, more bold, less understanding. I feel like so much has changed since the pandemic 😷

I’ve noticed the same thing. Small issues seem to escalate way faster now than they used to. It feels like people come in already frustrated and it doesn’t take much for things to turn tense. I don’t think you’re overanalyzing it, a lot of people in service roles have been saying the same thing.

I’ve noticed it too. People seem less patient and quicker to get frustrated over small things. The pandemic definitely shifted expectations, and it shows up in everyday interactions more than it used to.

I think people were alot nicer but apparently being locked away for however long it was just ruined everyone's attitudes in a constant state.

Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.

Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬
