I currently earn $300,000USD as a 1st year in the London office of a V10. This is base + COLA, however, I am thinking of moving to the USA, because I feel that in the next 4 years when I leave biglaw I will have better in-house/ government opportunities in the USA than in the U.K.
I neither have family in the US nor in the U.K, so that’s not a consideration. But I feel that leaving all this money on the table to go earn 215K as a 2nd year Associate in the States is foolish. Any advice?
