PLEASE don't use Moltbook or whatever it is. I'm fascinated by AI and use it to make my life easier, but this one sounds really problematic to me. There are tons of security vulnerabilities currently. I would not touch it until there's confirmation those have been resolved.
Maybe also don’t use the AI chatbot known as “mechahitler” that creates child porn.
My school is a Google school so staff have access to Gemini and there are some really interesting AI features in Google Classroom! I haven’t found any way to use AI to speed up my work but I have used AI to enhance my work! I use some of the AI features in grammarly pro to check my writing, I change student names in parts of the iep document to STUDENT and use Gemini as another set of eyes to make sure all supplementary aids and modifications are supported by what I wrote. Sometimes I’ll take a slide deck and ask Gemini for some ideas for fast finishers - this is hit or miss and it’s better when I give a prompt like design an activity for this lesson for students who have deficits in fine motor skills, increased hyperactivity, have a learning disability in math etc. the more specific I get the better it does - but honestly this has not saved me time. It gives me a jumping off point sometimes, but I haven’t been asking it as much now that we’re into the year and I know my students a lot better.
Overall I’m hesitant to use a lot of AI in my career because I’m not really sure what the vibe is in my school about it yet. It’s pretty new for most of us! It hasn’t saved me a lick of time, but I’ve written some really awesome IEPs since using it! Unfortunately it now takes me 4-5 hours for each document ugh.
All I use AI for is to differentiate my reading levels or help my ESL students with their language and simplified english
Prompting AI after having a general idea of the route that I want to take.
