Not really. Bosscoder mentors, instructors don’t know much. They hired cheap people just to get the ball rolling and now paying people to tell they learnt from bosscoder. Don’t go for such platforms. rather I would suggest to use independent mentorship platforms. I used enginebogie.com and it helped me much more than any academy. Thanks to them.
I started my tech career without much interest in IT. I worked in DevOps and then at a startup for low pay. I needed to learn coding but found it hard without a clear path.
I chose Bosscoder because it looked good and wasn't too expensive. It really helped me understand DSA from the basics to the advanced. This made my coding interviews much easier.
I also moved from front-end work to full-stack development. If you're asking if Bosscoder is good for DSA, I'd say yes. It helped me a lot.
We are happy to be part of your journey.
Hi, I am Rajat, one of the co-founders at Bosscoder.
Since I have been involved in both creating & teaching the curriculum of DSA at Bosscoder, I think I can help you answer this.
Good points:
> Focused on building problem solving intuition of DSA.
> Structured and covers everything from linear DSA, non-linear DSA to Advance DSA.
> Live classes & Community helps in consistency which is very important for DSA prep.
> Mock Interviews from mentors regularly helps you know where you really stand in terms of DSA interviews
> Doubt support helps you stay unblock
> Regularly updated. For ex: We recently added a lot of case study DSA problems (like Build Browser History, FB Networking problem, Build Instagram inflinite scroll) -- What DS to use here, what algorithms will be best.
Not-so-good points:
> Doesn't start from absolute basics. You should have some basic theoretical knowledge of DSA before-hand.
> Takes 4 months of time. You need to remain consistent in that period.
If DSA prep is your goal, Bosscoder curriculum is very good. 1000+ learners have cracked interviews at different product companies now including at Google, Microsoft, Facebook.
You can see reviews of these learners from YouTube to get better clarity.
Feel free to ask if you have any other query.
Best of luck!
I joined them only for DSA but their program offered more than just DSA like system design, OS, CN, OOPS etc. They even had a company specific interview. Mentors were from product companies that you would generally target like google, adobe, microsoft etc. and they are very responsive of your doubts. My mentor helped me in a 1:1 mock interview. Their placement team helped me get placed in Meta as a software engineer.
