I see many experienced people silently quitting. The hike and variable pay were not good. The demand for work has been increasing with tight deadlines and without a good number of developers for the project, the work load is increasing. On the other hand, they are hiring by paying fat salaries. But most of the projects I see indicate huge cuts in the current roles.
Probably not a good time to join.
I don't understand what do you mean hiring with huge pay,and cutting people in projects? And who are those seniors quitting silently .. how senior are they?

My 2 cents:
No good signs until 2027.. Automobile industry is a pure cyclical business. We never know how things will go. There would be enormous amount effort goes thru to launch one new model into market... After all the investment cost and effort from multiple departments, what if that model fails to attract ? If even if attracts, to see quantum of profits, it takes 3-4 quarters.. so, things r slow and patience is the key here.
Well it actually depends on what are your other offers... Layoffs are everywhere not just in Ford...
Everyone is talking about 350people cut recently, but they were taken out after the 10 B $ debacle of project. It's sad.. but look at the impact of loss , and even in that 350 there are many agency employees.
Also I echo with @E1, automotive businesses are cyclic.., it's difficult to have one great launch which takes 3-5years of time easily.

I second all the above comments.. The pay range has been expanded a lot.. I see 2.5-3.5 yrs folks with CTC of 24-25 lpa ... There r layoffs happening every quarter in 150-200. (No mass layoffs tho in mass numbers)
Ford has always been seen as a govt job 😂.. So, Ford is not trying to go aggressive.. Work load is going up, and attention too!!
When the vision is not passed to team clearly .. this is what happens ,
Companies can't sustain 100s of years without vision, few middle management fucks up sometimes and employees behave like they know everything.
