I don't think it was any harder than other industries, you just have to be super mindful about the laws and regulations. Construction companies often have to have a lot of insurance, and other safety requirements that are all mandatory for operations. When you learn all that, it's not hard at all. I enjoyed my time in construction, actually. It's a little more relaxed than other industries.
I honestly loved my time spent working in construction. The mindset is completely different than my company now (tech industry). I wouldn't necessarily say it's "easy," but my time spent there was enjoyable, nonetheless.
I don't see why working in the office of a construction company would be any easier than any other company. Every organization has its own procedures and organizational structure, and the administrative work just naturally aligns with that. I would imagine a construction firm would have a pretty standard organization and they'd follow ordinary business procedures.
