Is it legal to offer a very small extension in the temporary contract ( despite there being funding approved for your particular position for coming 3 years) ?

The Institute rule is to make a person permanent if they are on a temporary contract for 3 years.

I was offered 2 years of contract with a hope of becoming permanent through this rule, depending on the availability of funding. Now we have funding for next 3-4 years. My contract ends soon and now i am being told that my contract will ....

Over the last couple of months I’ve interviewed for a number of jobs and made it to second and third round interviews but never got an offer. My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player. Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
