Where do I steer my career? I’m an introvert and someone who suffers from PTSD from my time on active duty. I honestly have no real desire to really go to an office and spend half my day pretending to be social and develop “relationships”. I honestly just want to bury myself in the work. Im not interested in happy hours or office golf functions and pizza parties. What is my best bet to staying in tax but also just doing my work and not having to participate in all this extra stuff?

Have any of you taken "low bono" clients while working at a firm? I want to take on a low bono client or two but not sure who would get the money. This is a contract opportunity through a non profit so I'm assuming a 1099 will be issued. The per hour rate is significantly less than my billable rate. I would (obviously) like the money but my real objective is just getting experience/networking since I recently moved to a new state and don't have clients of my own.

Okay so, I find myself in a tough situation. Recently, my professional license became jeopardized. There’s many details that I rather not share publicly just incase, but trust me when I say that this was over a ridiculous complaint that wasn’t serious. I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. You learn so much about innovation but seems like most health systems just want people to fall in line and just do what's always been done. I would take a pay cut to work for a system that's actually trying to do something disruptive in the Industry as opposed to just using buzz words in ppt.
