Let's say a person join a company X and then switches to Y after few years. Again switches to company Z after few months. Now the thing is both the previous employers provided Pf but the new company Z which is still growing doesn't have a pf contribution since it is starting out in india. What would happen to existing PF accounts if not withdrawn , will it earn interest? What would i need to do as an employee? Any timelines to follow?

If I max out my 401k before the end of the year, I am still eligible for employer matching?

What is the most difficult part of buying a home for the first time?

Seeking some advice for home buying. Went under contract on a new construction back in March, was originally supposed to be ready in August but has been delayed until November. Plan is to purchase some time after 2 years or so. Primarily to save up for a larger down payment.

Here’s my plan of attack:
- $30K saved right now ($20K in IBonds and $10K cash)
- $90K saved by July 2023
-$130K saved by 2023 and target a $800K home

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?
