Is it normal to feel very overwhelmed as a new Senior 1, two months in?
Yes, in fact if you didn’t feel that way I would be more concerned
Yes
HA. Absolutely, OP. And EY1, yes. Be ready to feel that way for the majority of your S1 year.
Is it normal to feel slightly overwhelmed when you are a new senior manager 2 month in?
LOL of course
Are you even B4?
It’s completely normal. However, there is a long way ahead of you. People don’t have expectation or assign responsibility to you yet. Just grind and grow.
New things and balancing new responsibilities is overwhelming! Happens to everyone. If it becomes too much talk to those around you. Maybe they'll have strategies that worked for them for getting organized/ prioritizing things. Or maybe they don't notice you've got too much on your plate (especially if you're reporting to multiple people at once) and things need to be shifted. If you don't raise your hand no one will know.
Yes
Yeah, just keep your eyes and ears open when performing inventory counts as a new staff. Have friends in industry that tell me about all the adjustments to inventory they make after the counts are performed and the manipulation of the audit staff (I.e.- that pile is impossible to count because xxxxxxx, count this over here , which has already been counted and reverified 5 times) . It’s easy to get things pulled over your head, but don’t let it stop you from being skeptical.
