Is it normal to not receive specific feedback after the interview? When I ask for feedback, no response from recruiters. I’m someone who values feedback throughout the hiring journey. Each interaction is a chance to improve. How common is post-interview feedback? I’m always looking to learn.

That is very normal. I have found that when asking for feedback, it is very rare to actually hear back from someone. It doesn't hurt to ask, but I never expect to hear anything back.

I-9 section two clearly states: Employer responsibility. Lately I have been required by the new Employer/ recruiting agency to use a friend or anybody to verify my approved documents in person. That person essentially becomes an employer representative. It seems there is confusion about the role of employees vs employer. If this crazy activity is not done within 3 days of hire, the candidate is dismissed. Are we losing simple vocabulary skills or just getting careless? I turned down a p/t position over this madness. I am facing it again for a new contract.

I've never gotten feedback.

Yeah it's unfortunately quite common. And getting constructive feedback is even more difficult

Yeah, it’s unfortunately normal. A lot of people avoid giving feedback after an interview.

Outrageously normal, recruiters just can't be bothered sometimes (no offense recruiters in here)

Got asked out on a date. After I agreed he ghosted. It’s been 3 weeks and he just texted “Hey, sorry for the delay. I’m down to hang out anytime.” Is it even worth replying?

31M here. Met a girl last week, 31F, and we hit it off instantly. We have so much in common and everything feels right, tomorrow will be our 3rd date. She slept over last night, no sex, but we made out all night. I haven’t felt like this for anyone in a while and it feels amazing, but I’m scared to commit. I have this fear of getting hurt or putting in effort only for it not to last.

I have two job offers from start-up companies:

Option 1 - well known fintech company and about to go IPO. Will be doing corporate tax. Probably will turn into hybrid of WFH/coming into the office.

Option 2 - series A (been around about 3 years). Tax operation with high possibility of being exposed to other areas in accounting and finance of the company. Fully remote.

Compensation from both companies are the same. I would appreciate some advice on which option would you choose and why.

What’s the best thing I could buy for my old man’s birthday for about $10k? Would go Rolex (since he knows Rolex) but would prefer new, which limits my options there. Looking for something a little sporty, with a bracelet, and waterproof (100m should suffice). Nothing bombastic like a Panerai, but something a little more exciting than say a Datejust? And not Grand Seiko - he’s gonna think it’s like $50 and lose it :(
