Is it time companies start declaring that they use hiring systems such as ATS to filter candidates? They are missing out on so much potential talent.

Are you talking like a mandated disclosure, like was done a few years ago in a few states requiring salary range be included in the job listing? I apply for a lot of jobs, like 25-30 per month, and some listings have an option question as to whether you do or don't want your application processed with ATS . . . I think I see that option on maybe 25% of the jobs where I apply.

Have you heard back when you opted out? I think that means thanks for removing yourself.

I haven't opted out of it, so I wouldn't have further insight on it either way.

Been the story of my job search for the past year and a half. Companies are letting systems determine who’s good and who’s bad but at the end of day everyone starts off bad to become good if you get what I’m saying. Companies should just do what they are supposed hire people not have automated systems do it for them.

I’ve been proposed an exit as Product Owner at a real company, not a consulting one. Staff seems nice, good culture, good salary (less than consulting but well), BUT I would have to move countries for that job and start a new life.

I’ve also been proposed a Manager position at a consulting company in my home city, with potential of bigger salary thanks to bonuses. Culture seems good... But I’m sure it’s gonna be a hell lot of work.

Which one would you take? Should I exit and never look back?
