Hi- in conversation to make a move, but curious what the total package looks like for an experienced associate? (PTO days, 401K and pension?) Also, is there a paternity leave program? Thanks!

I requested a copy of the benefit package when I got the offer. I think it’s 20-22 days for experienced associates. 401k is 25% match up to 6% of your salary. Definitely paternity leave but I don’t remember how long on the top of my head. We also have Andersen loyalty program which could give you up to $35k if you stay for five years. I believe the benefits and pay is very competitive as someone who joined Andersen from a big4 .

Cash bonuses, raises, profit-sharing, company equity, 401k match, etc.

I never do this but I need some objective advice. My wife is 5mo pregnant and my sister is getting married. Wedding was adjusted because of COVID but she set the date knowing I might not be able to attend as I’d have to fly there. Now I’m conflicted because if I attend, I’d have to quarantine for 2 weeks away from my wife and miss a couple DR appts. I’m her only support where we live. Would be stressful for her but I’m getting immense pressure from my parents to attend the wedding. Advice?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. Why do recruiters never tell you which agency they want to talk to you about until they get you on the phone? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time and it would be helpful to know this info from the initial outreach. My experience with this only applies to healthcare, but would imagine it’s the same in consumer as well. Anyone?
