So consulting companies aren’t “real companies” 🤔 good to know. Plenty of companies run without relying on a concrete end product (addressing one of OP’s replies above). It’s called the service industry. That’s why consulting is known as a ‘professional services’

What country? I took a exit with lower comp to travel. Can't really say for you, depends on your motivations

A real company :D

Value 🌈

How old are you? If you are young, dun have family members to look after and limited liabilities in any form, I’ll say it’s a good chance to go out and explore different things when you still can. You never know what new opportunities this exit will lead you to, and you can always go back to consulting if you want.

Very young, my parents are going to be okay for the next 5 years at least, and no debt... so well. Indeed I can always go back if needed

Where would you move?

I don’t love consulting more, no. So I guess Switzerland it should be...

I realized most of my anxiety or depression stems from a lack of career fulfillment. I am currently in industry, but was a Senior in Accounting Advisory, and before that an audit associate. I’m thinking of trying DDV at PwC as I’ve always been interested in M&A integration, but am unsure on carry over of skills and also would like to go somewhere I can be bumped to Manager as I was almost there prior to leaving industry. I know they are on a hiring spree so would coming in as a Manager be possible? I’ve previously been on M&A audit/AAS engagements.

I feel like I’m not learning anything at my internship. It’s easy work and good pay though. Should I try to take on another project or multiple to try to gain more experience? But I was told it’ll be much harder and I would be expected to work longer hours and managers will be rough on me. Is this worth it when I go to school full-time as well while trying to balance a part time job? (The internship at D is expected to be part time but they might make me work more).

here's my prediction. If Biden wins, the media will begin to message the following; -The worst COVID risks and outcomes are to people with identifiable risk factors such as obesity and diabetes. -Most other people who catch it will experience a bad flu. -Many other people who catch it won't even know they have it. -It's not commonly transmitted by touching objects and person to person transmittal is low risk except in close contact. The media will then message that we should; (cont'd)

I was fired by my firm in Oct for a combo of covid-related & other reasons, jumped right into volunteering for Biden campaign, then spent Dec/Jan dealing with family issues. Now trying to figure out how to address in interviews, what to do about writing samples & references. In the past I’ve only worked with recruiters when they contacted me about a particular job. Can I hire a recruiter to help me with my job search? Or a career coach? If so, how do I find the right person?
