If you have a EU passport you shouldn’t have any issues and don’t need a return ticket.
At least until Brexit goes into effect and regulations for EU citizens might come up.
You can work on an EU passport, but you still need to get a national insurance number so you can be paid.

An EU passport will not get stamped on entering the UK. It doesn’t matter where you’re traveling from.
Also, you can work, don’t need a visa, and can stay as long as you want. Under an EU passport, that is.
You can live and work legally in all EU member countries! Good luck after Brexit goes into effect. Don't forget your umbrella.

Double check to see if they’ll ask for proof of being able to support yourself financially (eg. bank statement balance of X or more). That was a requirement that I had to meet as a non-EU passport holder.
I’ll be coming from NYC, but have an EU passport.
Also, return tickets are usually cheaper. Just don’t use the second half
EU Passport you should be fine. When i moved over I did buy a round trip with a return like 6 months after... didn’t end up using it but have the option if you want to go back for a visit and are covered in all ways.
Last time I was in London at heathrow my stamp said I could stay for six months as long as I didn’t work, and I didn’t have a ticket out (I took a train to another country). I imagine you’re fine for a while to look for a job and figure out your visa.
