What makes more money IT Audit or IT GRC?
Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

IT audit is a specialized form of financial audit that deals with computer systems. I'm not sure of the current demand for them since I've worked in financial audit all my life, but maybe it's getting more common for IT professionals to work as auditors as long as they have some accounting experience.
It sounds like you have only worked on FAIT. However, the scope of IT audit is def more than financial audit IT as you think.
IT audit is absolutely not a form of financial audits. IT risk / IT audit is applying audit principles to the IT world. Sometimes that's in support of a financial audit, but that's a subset of a subset of the world of IT audit.
