What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

What are your slide deck pet peeves?

Pasted a list from excel to PowerPoint however when I try to make them bullets, PowerPoint reads it as a group of text (only puts a bullet for the first line). Can manually delete and press enter for each line to get a bullet but curious if anyone has a quicker solution?

Does anyone know how to avoid the line break when pasting text in PPT? Usually happens when working with tables, but ran into the issue with a text box today too. Annoying to go in and backspace each time.

I have a gif that plays fine in normal view but doesn’t play in slide show view. Anyone know how to fix?

Hello Fishes, my manager asked me to sanitize the slide and send it to the client that the team presented last week. It’s my first day on working the project. How should I get started and what all things should I take care of before sending the deck?
