Feeling very frustrated right now…company talks a big game about DEI internally, while requiring new hires to move to Texas/Arizona, while the company’s PAC donates to politicians pushing extremist, regressive, anti-woman and anti-LGBT laws

They want to encourage us to “bring our whole self to work” while putting us in situations where we can’t be our whole self.

Anyone else in a similar place, feeling discouraged? Any tips?

I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. My leadership is aware and knows I am keeping my distance from them. Just doing the necessary work to keep them producing. How do you handle this? Freelancers, do you actually benefit from having an S Corp? Assume someone is earning about $100k in 1099s and $150k in W9s. Everyone says “oh get an s corp for taxes” but does it ACTUALLY help lower your taxes? (Also, can you get ALL 1099s if you bill through your s corp and does THAT help?) Everyone who insists on it says things like “yeah I’m not sure how, but it helps” or “this is my first year doing it.”
