It’s been years since I felt my words were stolen in my face.
Today that happened so many times in 30 minutes, by a male, taking protagonism and ownership of my ideas, cero credit, that it just makes me re - think if that guy is a stabber in the back, and it’s a matter of time.

Have you felt that? Common for you to have new bosses doing this?

This happened to me at my last job. New guy came in, wasn’t handed to reins to do his job (he was supposed to be the incoming CEO), so he tried to assume ownership of mine. I tried to talk to him about it but he was super dense. Ultimately, I increased my profile externally (subject of blog posts, interviews) so my work history and accomplishments were on the record. Advocate for yourself and don’t let him get away with it. Be clear in your message and nice/neutral in your tone or they will discount you are a hysterical woman. Sorry you’re going through this.

Hi,
I have 2 years and 7 months of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Currently working as Senior Software Engineer in a MNC.
I have worked on the tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git (GitLab and GitHub)/Gerrit and Other DevOps Tool Chains such as Artifactory and Monitoring Tools. But not cloud experience like AWS, Azure (have on Premises cloud exposure).
