My wife just did it last month. The whole world tries to make you think its the worst thing ever but its totally doable. The nurses and the doctor kept pressuring us to take the epidural all thru labor (like everytime she would have a cramp, they'd say things like "Oh, you wouldnt be in so much pain if you just took the epidural") but we stood our ground and did it without it! The best thing about it was she recovered from the labor pains in less than 2 days (she could walk and take a shower within less than 24 hrs).
Yes because you dont have a thick epidural needle pierced in your back plus you are not paralyzed from waist down so you can turn positions, sit up, walk and shower by yourself immediately after delivery
I am just very annoyed how everyone makes it seem like its impossible... if anything it’s better for the baby not to take anything
Why is it better for baby?
It’s not impossible but every pregnancy is different .
Once you reach a certain point , it’s not an option so be aware of that
Also be aware, our bodies, compared to other mammals, aren’t very well suited for pregnancy - really, look it up
