Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? Moreover it would be great if any of you can shed some light on the prospects/challenges of this role based on your experiences. Barclays Barclays global service center

I think you should take some time and reflect on whether posting something like this is reflective of the values we want someone at your position to be representing.
Whether you realize it or not, you're a "leader" at the firm and responsible for promoting a healthy culture and fostering broader morale. There's no place for toxicity like this, and you should have the maturity and self control to abstain from this type of behavior.

Agree with M1
Let me guess.. ramping in teamwork and communication?
Everything has already been said: this is very sad to promote this kind of values when a lot of people in the industry are trying to fight against this toxic culture, especially knowing you are a project leader.
Hope we are not in the same region (I doubt it) and to never cross your path.
Interest rates guy, is that you?
Yeah but it’s not their fault it’s because of interest rates
Gotta say the firm worked a lot more efficiently when there was a bit more of a "toxic" attitude (as the HR folks who responded here called it) like this. Consulting isn't for everyone, you are going to get your butt handed to you, it's the people who push through it and produce great work that will succeed, not those who complain about people being "toxic".
It was unsustainable and counterproductive to the firm’s plans for growth. There are reasons very smart people at the top realized this and proactively tried to shift that culture. An organization can be very high-achieving and productive, while still maintaining a positive culture. It is a myth (and lazy management with short-term thinking) to assume otherwise.
