This is clearly not your problem territory. You're kind for caring, but you have no obligation to handle hiring, and I'd argue it's best that you didn't. You won't be working with these people; your replacement will. They should be making hiring decisions, not you.

I’d have to disagree. My situation was similar. The previous supervisor was lackadaisical about hiring, even though we were short staffed, and now that I’m promoted, I have to do recruiting on top of all the other duties I’m responsible for. I think that’s setting up the next person up for success is part of professional integrity. At least get it started…
I understand how you feel, but you can only do what you can. Do your best to work hard and set them up for success, but once you leave, it's out of your hands.
Where do you work at I am currently looking for work

I think if you can help and want to keep a good relationship with your former manager, it wouldn’t hurt to help out. I do think the world is smaller than you think and so you never know when you’ll run into your former teammates again…
not your problem. they are fortunate you gave 2 weeks
Trust the process and leave gracefully.
its reallly sad that the higher ups wont get the help they need, its effecting everybody , and it just keeps happending. i think some store mangers really care about there employeres but it kinda is a give and take really, kinda sad when the lower workers work really hard, and the higher ups are trying to push the SM for money
