I’ve always had trouble falling asleep because I can’t turn my brain off at night. Even when I do the “right” things - bed early, no electronics - I still lie there for hours, wide awake and overthinking. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it’s like starting over. I know I’m not alone - has anyone found something that actually helps you disconnect when your mind won’t quiet down?

Check out sleep podcasts! Or listen to soothing or boring audiobooks. When I can focus on something else…I eventually fall asleep.

That’s a great tip! I’ve tried a few sleep podcasts, and they do help sometimes.

Magnesium (glycinate) helps, but honestly nothing beats a gummy.

But the real game changer is the neurofeedback therapy with Braincode Centers that I’ve done. Night and day difference! I did the anxiety protocol and my overthinking had significantly decreased. I just watch 20 minute videos online and they train your brain essentially. Highly recommend checking out their site or instagram (highlight reels) for more info!

Thanks for sharing this! Magnesium helps me a bit too, but I haven’t tried neurofeedback - that sounds really promising. Appreciate the tip!

Haven’t found any one thing that consistently helps, just wanted to say that I am exactly like this and it’s hard. Always been like that too, doesn’t matter if there is anything stressful going on or not. Getting to sleep at night is a constant struggle and I am mystified that people lay down and just… fall.. asleep.

I’ve found that making sure my bedroom is cool enough like 69ish degrees is the only thing that helps

Weed. Just a little bit. Like a 5mg gummy is plenty. Especially if it also has CBD.

I’ve actually never tried that, but I’ve heard a lot of people say it helps. Might be something to look into - especially if nothing else is working.

I feel like it totally depends on your day and if it’s been busy etc. I can fall asleep so fast if I’ve had a bit of a slower day, but if I’ve had a busy productive day there’s nothing that can stop my mind from going x100 before sleeping! So I’m with you hetr

Totally feel this! It’s like the more tired I should be, the more my brain decides to throw a party at bedtime!
