I’ve been at my current company for five years, and in that time, I’ve seen four different reorganizations that all resulted in more work for less pay. Every time a new CEO comes in, they promise to fix the culture, but they just end up making things more corporate and cold. It’s like we’re all just numbers on a spreadsheet instead of people with lives and families. I’m starting to think that stable jobs are a myth and that every company is just a different flavor of toxic. Is it possible to find a workplace that actually cares, or should I just lower my expectations?

Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. Some people would say I’m asexual/aromantic, but unless that too is a spectrum, I don’t think I fit squarely into that group. As I get older, I’m realizing I’m feeling very lonely. It would be nice to find someone, but have it be platonic (any gender/sex). It’s weird, I know. It’s hard to articulate as well. Can anyone relate? 😭😭

What's next after healthcare for you all?

I accepted an offer from Cognizant for a consultant position a little less than a month ago. My joining date is 5th September and I would need visa sponsorship. I have completed my pre joining formalities and background verification. The thing is I haven’t heard from HR in a while and no update as yet on visa sponsorship process. Should I be worried?

I have 32k miles with THY that are about to expire. Normally I'd go ahead and book a flight, but I can't project which countries might be locked down again 5-6 months from now (haven't accrued enough PTO to travel in near future). The only other way to keep the miles is to pay $10 per 1000 miles, as far as I know. Are there other strategies?

Does anyone know any good admission consultants that have a free first session? I'm looking to find out whether applying in R2 with a quite decent but not outstanding profile is a terrible idea. Aggregating a few options from them would be really useful!
