I’ve been at my first job since graduating from college five years ago, and finally decided it's time to move on. I’ve been applying for about six weeks now, and it has been nothing but rejections. I'm starting to take it personally and wondering if it's me or just the market. How many rejections is the norm these days before you actually receive an offer? I could use some perspective.

You are not alone. The job market is really bad. I have been applying for 8 months, and it has been nothing but rejections. Hang in there and keep applying. I would try to get a referral if you can; sometimes that helps.

We are in a historically anomalous job market, and the current conditions are being referred to as a jobless boom. So don't take it personally, you're one of a great many people looking for a job. You're in a good position as you're employed, so you can be patient. It may take quite some time to get an offer, so just prepare yourself to be in it for the long haul.

Prob somewhere between 25-50. That includes postings that aren’t real postings. Just keep trying someone will either really like your background or really have a need. Keep your head up and know you are capable the market is rough and no indication on you.

I have been applying since January too and applied to over 50 jobs, i have years of experience and still nothing

Random question for anyone who has ever exchanged/gotten a replacement away travel suitcase. Is there any flexibility to get a different color? My interior zipper broke and I stopped in a store to ask if they do repairs and they said to bring it in and they’ll just replace it. I wouldn’t hate switching the color but feel weird asking for some reason

Hi All,

One of my friend got interviewed in Deloitte and she was asked to rethink her salary ask in the HR round. She reduced it to 1L less than initial ask. Now the status is in benchmarking approval. What does that mean ? Will they release the offer letter ?
