I’ve had two international business trips on alliance members as well. At this rate I’ll barely break gold by the end of the year.
Have this same problem but I’ve been flying the route all year. Going to hit plat status on 12/20 w/segments, but I exceeded 1K PQDs months ago. It sucks, but there’s nothing to be done

The only way around it is to switch to an airline that earns points based on revenue not miles

Never take a direct flight. That way you double your PQSs. That's the fastest way short of buying PQMs. Not sure if those are worth it...

Mileage run time. Fly to Asia for cheap. Flights to Beijing can be had for cheap.

Same problem here, been flying united all year but still at silver. Do the PQD or PQS get carried over to next year?
No
I know United sells miles.. Check with United if you can buy miles that qualify as PQM.
Do you guys not have status challenges specifically for your firm?
The worst year (maybe) was when I earned 1K on segments on a regional jet without F 😭
