I think the time and flexibility to be home and have wlb for your kids is worth more then the title and increase (unless it is a life changing amount) - from a mom in a client facing role with 2 toddlers
It’s a tough gig being a working parent - and even harder as a mother! Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It sounds like you’re doing your best, so don’t feel bad! Really appreciate your perspective 💐
You have to decide if the “slightly more” comp is worth it . Client facing roles are demanding and the work life balance you enjoyed may not exist . Good luck OP - it’s a hard decision and reality of working moms
What do you want out of the new role? Is client facing THE answer or is it just the easiest to pursue option? Could you find something exciting that doesn’t blow up your WLB?
