Leveraging your network.
I think you mean ‘be the hiring manager’s nephew’
If you're going by the numbers on LinkedIn that show how many people have applied, don't take them too seriously. The numbers indicate how many people clicked through to see the application, but it doesn't reflect how many people actually followed through and submitted a completed application. And so far as getting noticed, put out feelers and do whatever networking you can. Sometimes people will tip you off to openings. You have to be out there and letting yourself be known for some good things to happen.
Sales is definitely a crowded field, and standing out is tough. Have you tried directly reaching out to hiring managers or leveraging your network? A strong LinkedIn presence helps too, like posting insights, engaging with industry content, and even messaging recruiters. Sometimes, it’s about who knows you, not just what you know.

Treat your interview just like a sales process. If you see a position you want don’t be afraid to go to LinkedIn and find some people who work for that company and introduce yourself. House utilize your current network and let people know that you’re looking. I was out of a job for five months and just started a new one today.
