Do I need to know ratios for FDD case study?
I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

My guess is that it'll be a while yet before we have a good idea of where any of this AI stuff is heading. A lot of it is just hype, it's going to do all these things, and it's a lot of empty promises. But kids are already using it, sometimes as a crutch, and that's disturbing. I suspect it could have very negative impacts we're not even considering at this point.

The kids are using it and have been using it for a while. I think this where we have to get know our students' writing patterns, that way it is a bit easier to catch it.
I think AI could be super helpful for students who need extra support, but I worry about the ‘shiny new toy’ effect where we get a bunch of tools dumped on us without clear guidance. If it works and doesn’t create more work though, I’m in.

One thing I am showing my students us the different ways that AI responds to their prompts. The more vague the prompt the more messy their results. One good thing, kids are having to use their critical thinking skills to get a good result😏
I'm rolling my eyes now.

I'm curious. Why are you rolling your eyes?🙂
It's not going away. I use it. I use it to draft emails, help plan units, adjust Questions etc. We should embrace it. It's embedded in everyday life anyway.
