I've been meaning to take a short course or certification that can help me stop feeling stuck with my creativity. I enjoy anything to do with drawing, writing, or theatre. Do you have any recommendations?

Can’t really think of any course off hand, but when I get in a bit of a creative rut, I just try to branch out from my normal things. Listen to a different genre of music, go somewhere you wouldn’t normally go, that kind of shake up can sometimes help to get the juices flowing again.

Nice, thanks!

I loved Gotham writing courses. Took script writing 101 a few years ago. It’s also nice to take a chance on somewhere local and not take the skill development so seriously but rather enjoy connecting to your community. Print making is nice because it’s usually older folks and there is a nice energy about that.

I love the print-making idea! And I sure could use a change in the groups of people I hang out with usually. Thanks!!

Hi everyone! I’ve been working as a product manager in an internal consulting department at Kaiser Permanente a on software product that maps and automates clinical workflows. Although my title is a consultant, my role entails the usual responsibilities of a PM (prioritizing builds and features, identifying business requirements, mapping user journeys and stakeholder management). Does anyone have any advice on ways to break into tech or suggestions of companies to look into?

I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? (I ran out of characters)

Currently SM at Bain (4 years post MBA) and was approached for a senior associate role in portfolio ops at a large PE fund. Been told 2.5 years to VP and another 2.5 years to director. Feels like the role is a bit junior but offers a 50% pay jump.

Thoughts on seniority? Also, any interview resources for PE portfolio roles?
