I’ve been researching and demoing different case management software programs. I’m really looking for one that is tailored to personal injury and features document automation. Does anyone have any experiences that they could share? TIA

We have been using Litify (based on Salesforce) with decent success. It's a solid platform with some adaptability.

My firm is looking at Litify. Do you have any advice? What do you mean by decent success?

Trialworks was good when I worked as a plaintiff PI attorney. Templates and everything worked well and it was good for notes (you could create a top note for a file with a running list of everything).

helpful

We use TrialWorks. It gets the job done. I would love to test drive smart advocate but migration isn’t seamless.

helpful

We also use Trialworks. I don’t have any major complaints but with I knew how to use all the bells and whistles better. I like it though.

helpful

I used Trial works at my old firm and hated it. I use Macs so went with CasePeer

VENT: I feel completely demotivated after our new FOW announcement and it gave me whiplash. Working here has been a dream, so it feels weirdly hurtful to be publicly celebrated as part of the “expanded talent pool” in announcements, but be told privately that my return to the office will be accompanied by a massive pay cut because of where I live. I didn’t choose to live here/move, the company chose ME where I’m at. I feel like I don’t belong because everyone else seems happy with this.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

I’ve done PI work my entire career for over 10 years. I’ve worked in state and federal courts and I’ve traveled around the country doing MDL work and bellwether trials. I’ve had a lot of success making the idiots I’ve worked for wealthy, but I’m still waiting for a moment where I enjoy what I’m doing. I feel stuck working in dysfunctional plaintiff firms/cultures. I hate this profession/career more and more each year. Has anybody been successful breaking off on their own in recent years? Advice?

Hi everyone - I'm contemplating an offer from a large PI firm. I'm a little more than halfway through completing my 2nd year of practice, and I'm currently at a small firm with a low salary that's just no longer cutting it.

The offer from the large firm is for a pre-suit position, base salary of $100K - is this salary pretty standard for this kind of position?

Any insight is appreciated, thank you!!
