Do you have a record? What was your last job before you went on unemployment? Did you leave on a good note? If not. Your potential future employer could be calling your previous employer and they could be telling them not to hire you. Is it legal. Not technically. But the future employer wont tell you they did that so theres almost nothing you can do about it. I always put you cant contact previous employers. Cuz my managers all hate me cuz i end up having to do their job for them. So id rather just avoid that possibility. This could be from your previous employer essentially. And pardon my french here. But they could be cockblocking you from a jew job
That's what I'm fearing may be happening. Considering my last employer I worked for for over year, yet they fired me over the phone and told me they didn't want me to come in to speak to them. All over something I was falsely accused of saying, after working a 10 hour day the day before (opening double)
Write down every Q&A from a recent interview. What could you do different? How could you use that industry’s verbiage? Do you research the company and ad lib some company specifics during your interview? Do you ask questions?
Getting ghosted after interviews is rough, I'm sorry you're dealing with it. If you're consistently getting to the interview stage but not getting offers, you might just need to do some more prep before them. Have you been able to get any feedback from the places that passed? Use that to your advantage if so. If not, try using AI to help you prepare for interviews by giving it the job posting, your resume and all that stuff. With enough context, it should be able to give you a decent idea of what to expect in the interview and how to prepare for it accordingly.
No, I haven't gotten any feedback other than the false promise of getting a call back. I am told consistently that I would "seem like a good fit" and am "exactly what they are looking for" only to never hear back from them. Or call and get repeatedly told "the manager isn't in, but they'll be back on this day", and then when I call back I get told the same thing again. It's a frustrating game of phone tag. The interviews themselves seem to go very well. And I've had a few phone interviews with other people present, and they tell me I "interview very well"
I feel your pain !

This was me at the beginning of the year. I know the struggle. It was disheartening to get ghosted so often, but I had no choice but to move on to the next. I couldn’t let the disappointment stop me from being aggressive in my search
I've been very aggressive. I have been consistently applying to 5 or more places a week, just to still be unemployed. I don't know what to do
