I’ve been trying to step up my networking game, and everyone says “just send cold emails!” But honestly, every time I hit send, I cringe. Last week, I reached out to someone whose career I admire, but I overanalyzed every word—was I too formal? Too casual? They replied, but the email dance still feels awkward. I want to sound professional but also like a real person, not a robot. Do you ever feel this way with cold emails? How do you strike the right tone and make it less uncomfortable? Any tips for breaking the ice without overthinking it?

My advice is don’t overthink it, just go with your gut feel. It is uncomfortable at first but it’ll soon become less so.

Hi All,
I need your immediate help for Barclays, i am in the middle of the interview process for Barclays Pune/Mumbai, I have heard that they do check Credit Report for all roles as a part of their Pre employment screening (May be stage 1).
Is that correct?
Can someone please check their Background screening report and confirm?
I think they use Hireright as their 3rd part agency but not sure.
i would really appreciate your help.

Digital/digitally-savvy PMs, can I pick your brains? I’m up for a Sr. PM position at a creative agency working mainly w/tech clients. My background is more print based, especially the last couple years. When I was working in digital, it was very straightforward (mostly static/animated banners with a little bit of social). Where can I brush up on digital trends? Which agencies’ work should I check out? Any blogs worth catching up on? Thanks!
