I’ve built my experience across foster care, reentry work with formerly incarcerated individuals, and as a behavior intervention specialist, all while supporting at-risk youth. Currently, I serve as a Supervisor of Crisis Case Management and was recently promoted to supervise an additional department. While I’m grateful for the growth and responsibility, this expansion in my role did not come with a salary increase. . Has anyone been in a similar situation, and how did you approach it?

Just switched firms, in hopes of greener pastures....and I’m miserable. Not totally sure where to head next, debating some non-traditional means of employment/next steps. I def can spin the story but am I risking my whole career if I say, took less ‘prestigious’ role for the next year? I just need to mentally recover...feels like I’m losing time off my life longevity for $$$. Just looking for others thoughts or real life examples

I was wondering what kind of contractual or other barriers I might face if I apply for one of the big 4 while working on a project with them in my current company.
I am not too involved in the project but I was in a few meetings and went on a field trip with them as well.
The position that I am applying for is in a different team and city.

Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks! My sign on bonus (20 even) a few months ago was taxed nearly 45%! Excuse my ignorance, but am I doing something wrong? Will increasing deductions help or should I increase the withholdings?
