i was able to get rental assistance by looking everywhere and anywhere that'll get me into a program. i would suggest looking into those but it'll be difficult because with this current administration cutting programs and the amount of layoffs that has happened. i would suggest doing that. but please remember, it's not a bad thing if you have to move back hom, it's not embarrassing either. things happen and that's why it's good to have family to fall back on. i really do wish you all the best of luck! 💙
Since housing is a big expense, you should consider moving into your parent's to save money. That way if you have any savings left, you can spread it further until you find a job. You can try housing assistance, but it isn't guaranteed ( my area has a 2 year waiting list and no emergency housing).
I'm actually on subsidy right now. In fact I have a voucher that allows me to stay in my apartment. However I am still trying to get my lease renewed. So far I haven't heard anything from my management office about my renewed lease yet. However I am going to be paying a visit to my management office tomorrow morning to find out what happened. So far I haven't been evicted from my apartment Thank God because my rent is being taken care of on my behalf. I'm so hoping that I get good news tomorrow about my renewed lease
Good luck with your lease and glad that is taken care of. I am not sure why my state of WV doesn't have that right now, since we are a poor state.

I did a similar thing in my 20s, but I made sure to contribute financially to the house just so I didn't get myself in a rut. It lasted about 8 months and then as soon as I had a new job and 2 months of paychecks behind me, I ran as fast as I could. LOL

I did that there is no shame. But when I get a job I'll be out as fast as I can.
