Feel the same way! Recruited for six years for corporate and support roles and loved it! Now recruiting for tech roles and it is so draining I’m not even a year in and burnt out
Which domains do you find are less "laborious" in nature? To me this honestly just sounds like the life of a recruiter lol... the grass always seems greener on the other side but I imagine this struggle exists across all verticals.
I’ve recruiter for every industry, except for healthcare. I feel most requisition besides administrative & customer facing are equally challenging. It’s easier when you believe in the company and relay the mutual interest to give the candidate something to look forward to. At least that is what has helped me.
Yes, And most tech candidates have multiple offers to weigh. I’m considering a pivot as well. In fact, I think I want to move into another area of Talent. Anyone considering out all together? What else are you considering?
Has anyone gone from external to internal and had better luck?
Unfortunately same challenges exist corporate side. Only, you can’t fire the client if the salary they’re offering is way too low ect.
