I’ve recently begun feeling a little bored with my day to day work, and I’ve realized that it’s because I’m experiencing fewer opportunities to be creative and learn new things. How do you get out of the daily rut of routine?

I try to keep things interesting in my personal life because my job can get really boring. Between traveling, my artistic pursuits, friendships, that kind of thing… Sure, it doesn't make my daily work life any better, but it's something to look forward to at the end of a long day.

That’s a good point. I do have some old hobbies I should get back into. Now I just have to figure out how to carve out the time lol

I've accepted that work is boring and it's just gonna be that way for the rest of my life. I know people who work passion jobs and they're either totally burnt out and lose interest in their passions and/or they're broke their whole lives. I'd rather have financial stability and save my hobbies for the weekend.

Oooo that’s true. I feel like the stress of doing something for pay can tend to take out the excitement

I am considering an offer for an AE role (UK-LDN) where the base is £42k & OTE is £70k. The Regional GM has verbally promised to move it up to £50k base if I perform well during the probationary period, but I can’t have it in writing on the contract. I’ve tried to counter offer but they said I’m currently maxing the salary band (L4). This role is exciting as I’d be the first UK employee, doing the full sales cycle & more but I had the same base and ote as an SDR. Is it too low? Do I take it?
