Just finished up with the most bizarre interview experience ever. I prepped for specific sales questions (quota, accounts, etc.) for the interview (it was a second round). But the hiring manager just talked the whole time after telling me I should ask all the questions. It felt like zero evaluation was involved. Is this a known interview tactic, just a weird one-off, or what? Anyone seen this before?

I have seen that happen before and it usually signals one of two things. Either they are already leaning toward an offer or they are disorganized and unclear about what they want. I would trust your gut on how it felt. Are you planning to move forward if they reach out or does it feel off enough to pass?

Yea I have. They just want to know how much you probably know about the Them. And the Job role.

I had an interview where the manager told me upfront he had "seen enough" and just wanted to have a casual chat. Sounded cool at first, but then he spent 45 minutes telling me how stressful the job was. It felt more like a warning than an interview. I think it's sometimes used as a tactic to see if you’ll self-select out.

I’ve never had that happen! I’ve had times where the interviewer would answer one of my questions probably a bit excessively, but never just talking the whole time. Even if they wanted a setup where I asked the questions, a heads up would be nice. I’m prepared to answer, not conduct the interview?

I've had this happen in a sales interview. It usually means either 1. they are unprepared and probably one of those people that talks a lot anyway, or 2. it could mean that they are more concerned with selling YOU. If the latter, that could be a red flag. It should be a two-way info sharing

Actually, I gave Interview for BackEnd Developer @ Itilite. I was selected in the interview process (2 Tech DSA Based + HR) and got a mail stating that our interview panel is really impressed with your domain related expertise in order to proceed with offer negotiation please submit your documents. Now after 2-3 days of document submission, they came up by saying they cant move forward with my candidature.

I am still amazed how can they do this after asking my documents.

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.
