I have a Next Level Racing folding seat and hook ip to my tv. Not perfect, but gotta do what I gotta do!
I use a folding playseat challenge and a thrustmaster t150 on PlayStation. Very happy with it
The playseat challenge is great!
Tip: Try to find a way to raise the pedals. Your knees will thank you
I have a GT Omega apex wheelstand plus the seat attachment. It a decent footprint, but not as big as some 8020 rigs. Getting a stable seat made a huge difference in being able to get on the brakes consistently.
I've never been able to translate my track skills to a sim. Like the dude says, there's so much feeling involved in driving a real car and without that I really struggle.
Try adding a buttkicker to your setup. Helps “feeling” wheel slip.
My rig isn’t compact, but one of the folding seats should work. Not sure how they’d hold up to a DD wheel and load cell pedals, but should work okay.
From what I’ve read, just can’t go all the way up on the DD or load settings. Haven’t made the jump yet though

I have a Thrustmaster wheel and pedal set that I clamp to my desk and a chair with locking wheels. I don’t spend much time on setups that can get to within 2-2.5 seconds of world records within games. Not super awesome but more than enough to enjoy the game.
Everyone has some pretty good solutions, so thanks for the input. I looked a lot of them up and for my apartment, I like the options.
I’m also considering an ambitious alternative so decided to start a new thread to get your thoughts…
