They’ll ask standard exit interview questions. How was your experience at EY, what was the best and worst parts of the job, what feedback do you have for the firm/practice/etc
I’d be honest, but constructive. Going out guns ablaze may burn some bridges, but if you professionally explain why you felt like you couldn’t turn down the offer, it likely won’t hurt.
For example, I told them that I was leaving because I was burnt out. I also told them I was frustrated that poor performers were allowed to skate by while higher performers picked up the slack. Nothing I said is breaking news, and I’m sure they’ve heard it all 1000 times before. But if no one says anything, then there isn’t even a chance that it’ll change.
I did not, and would not recommend, calling out specific people. Unless there were big problems like discrimination, harassment, etc—in which case, light them up. I’ve personally witnessed investigations into things said during exit interviews, so the firm does take it seriously.
