Kobe’s death hits so hard and makes you think that all is meaningless! He spent his entire life working hard and just when he retired to enjoy the fruit of his labor...😥

Can’t say for sure, but I’d guess he enjoyed what he was doing for work.

Now for those of us toiling away on PPT decks, then yes, this is a wake up call.

Another thought: I think if you gave people a choice between 41 years as one of the greatest athletes of all time, or 80 years doing something closer to what the average person does, a fair number would choose the former.

Kobe inspired many in the short life he was blessed with. He lived life. May the souls of Kobe, his daughters and all those in that chopper Rest In Peace. We are all waiting in the line of death, the moment we were born. Some are ahead of us and some behind. It is not shocking that people die, it should be a shock that people aren’t living life to the full when it is such a beautiful gift. Be kind, give, love, care, make a positive difference in someone’s life.

Dude, and just after Lebron passed him and post of him and Bron on the USA team kept popping up. I’m in such shock.. never been so shocked over a death of someone I didn’t personally know.

Kobe left a legacy that will last long after any of us are gone. That’s what you put in the hard work for.

I think that’s the wrong way to think about it. Life is about the journey, not the destination, and you never know what tomorrow has in store for you. Cherish every moment you can and even when you hate your job be thankful that you have the opportunity to have it because so many would love to be in your position.

like

I hear you, but there’s no wrong way to look at this. No one prays to work that hard and not be able to enjoy it or see their children grow up, no one wants that, but tomorrow is not promised to anyone!

^Kobe’s speech when he had his number retired was all about that, life is about the journey, not the end. Fill up as much of the journey with life as possible

Just got a job offer but they are only giving me until Monday afternoon to decide. I'm currently in process at several other firms and the recruiter said they can't/won't give extensions. I emailed the other companies I'm interviewing with to see if the process could be expedited and (1/2)
