You're telling me! Let's hope for a better and smoother ride in 2024. And let's hope for more student loan forgivness!

like

I don't even need better at this point, just slightly less terrible please 😭

like

Agreed!

Professionally and economically, 2023 was a good year for me. But personally, wow, was it bad. Ready for 2024. It simply must be better.

I’m glad it was good professionally and economically. Sorry to hear personally it wasn’t so great. I’m sure things will get better!

The coming year may be the year that determines the fate of the next decade, or longer. There are fascist candidates that have been elected in Europe or poised to gain control in upcoming elections. Let's not even think about the prospect of Donald Trumpovsky's bid to be "dictator for a day" in the November elections. Europe, Africa, Middle East, Far East are all at war or about to go to war. The way things are going, I wouldn't be too surprised to Quebec go to war with English-speaking Canada. Why not? Every other continent is engulfed in flames. Despite that, I am relatively sure the sun will come up and the earth will keep spinning. I'm just not sure that will be a good thing or a bad thing.

Well then....

I’ve taken FAR a few times at this point. I got two 74s and this past one I got a 70. I felt like the last exam (which was a few weeks ago) was extremely harder than the other ones. Has anyone else noticed the exam getting extremely tough? Or do you think I just got a one off?

If you could go back in time what would you tell yourself before taking out student loans?

Not mad that student loans being paused means I can use the money for Christmas. Are you still making payments during the pause? Or are you saving the money for something else. My christmas present to myself is a spa day!

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???

LCSW 50k loan repayment- Has anyone been granted a contract through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program? I’m interested in applying for the 2 years of full time work as an LCSW but my loans are a bit under 50k so I’m wondering if they would only give me what I need to clear my loans or would I still get 50k as long as I complete my contract ?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?
