Lately, the workload has been insane, and I can feel it taking a toll on my mental health. I’m managing 12 accounts, constantly putting out fires, and even when I log off, my brain is still running through client requests. Last week, I caught myself waking up at 3 AM to check emails—not normal. I know I need to set better boundaries, but I also don’t want to let my clients down. How do you all handle burnout without dropping the ball? Have you found any strategies that actually help you reset without falling behind? Would love to hear what’s worked for you.

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Definitely not ready to go back to that….

When is it appropriate to ask / explore working on a different account? Or, alternatively, how long do you stay on a account before you start itching for a change? I work for a small agency and manage our internal marketing acct. We had very few processes in place when I started. I’ve since created, implemented, and trained our dept. on project mgmt for clients and am trying to convince the owner to apply those principles to our internal jobs. They are resistant because they just want the work to be done and don’t “want to keep spending money on internal jobs”. I’m confused because we’re doing the work either way and “spending” in labor/resources.
