I had Tumi for a long time. I got sick of it because I hated everyone else having the same bag. And they’re not particularly comfortable, in my opinion.
I’ve moved on to other brands that are just as great quality (if not better) for fraction of the price. Personally, I would check out:
Aer (City Pack Pro, Pro Pack)
Bellroy (Transit work pack)
Evergoods
Alpaka (Elements backpack pro)
Alpaka is what I currently use and I love it.
Check out Briggs & riley
This.
Have you considered Thicker? I have one their backpacks I use for work daily and one of their large totes that has become my go to for travel. Check the backpacks out here: https://thackernyc.com/collections/backpacks-1

I like this one (recommended by the Wirecutter and the Strategist)
I have the Tumi Navigation backpack and love it. It's my daily driver and travel backpack.
It's well constructed, and the features are well considered.
Bought the tumi alpha 3 at Sam’s warehouse for like under $300 when it retails like close to $700… that’s one of the best backpack I’ve owned to date and spacious and well constructed for trips!
I go with Aer
I like the Antler Essential one
