What is the question? I am confused
Tbh i often wondered if IA sends us garbage knowingly and then try to argue their way through or if they really have such poor understanding of the requirements
Process narratives aren’t technically required, but your auditors may be required to document their understanding of your key close processes. Assuming this is a recurring audit, ask them to send you prior year’s process narrative
Truth. Not required for non-public entities except for key processes. The auditors will have them, and they’ll probably send them to you anyways to update/look over to see if the process has changed. Double check with your superior on those narratives on any parts you’re unsure of/don’t understand
Just send it over if it sucks and the control is not compliant then that’s not your fault and you’re not going to take the heat from it, you didn’t design the control
