Looking for perspective from folks who’ve made a similar move. I’m a Manager at a Big 4 consulting firm (5 years) and just got an offer to join a large software company in an internal strategy role supporting the C-suite, with ~25% higher comp. I’m definitely ready for a change of scenery and more excited about this industry. My pauses: the role is fully remote with a US-based team, some anxiety leaving a place I know well. How did folks deal with their first job change and cold feet?

Evening! Dog owners who live in condo rentals downtown.. did you tell your landlord you had a dog? I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.
