Anyone else a bit annoyed with the announcers right now? I get you disagree with the decision to not start the race, but man there was so much rain out there I can’t blame race control. So I’ve been with a court for a while and honestly the pay sucks compared to what paralegals should be making… the benefits are great though and they match my retirement 100% now that I’m vested at 3 years.I have 4 kids and 1 is getting ready for college. I feel like the benefits are great but I’d rather make more now. I am a previous LEO for 4 years who switched to paralegal so I have my leo retirement. Paralegals here make $28 with no benefits what is a good compromise

I’m currently a bankruptcy paralegal. Not sure I want to stay in bankruptcy forever. I’ve heard it can be really hard to change practice types and break into a new area of law. Anyone have experience or tips/advice on doing so?

What is the average paralegal salary in NC for a commercial real estate law office? I’ve been with a great firm for the last 9 years but am starting to wonder if I’m being compensated fairly. The company is about 30 employees (mostly attorneys) but I work primary for 4 of the attorneys.

What were some effective tips or resources that helped you to learn the systems of your first firm? We feel like our firm admin/paralegal is not getting acclimated and not assisting the firm as we hoped. So we want to make sure we’re effectively training her and providing the best resources/tools for success.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.
