Looking for some opinion here buy or not buy.

Private seller. Seamaster Professional in black 41mm case. He has box and paperwork and said he got it recently new battery from a local boutique Price $1100. From what I can tell it’s the model number 2264.50 series

Not looking to buy another omega to my omega collection but found a pretty good deal that I want to pull the trigger. I will inspect it carefully if I were meet up with him to make sure it’s legit.

Does seem like a good deal, but will you wear it? Personally, I probably wouldn’t buy another quartz watch no matter how good the deal is. If there is a need for a non-mechanical time piece, I would just get a AW.

The price seems to good to be true for a quartz sea master. Most 2264.50.00 are closer to 2300 preowned without box/papers.

I did a quick Google and that does seem like a pretty crazy steal at $1,100. Will it come with any sort of warranty from the boutique?

The picture looks legit, but ya gotta wonder: do you know something the seller doesn’t, or vice versa... It could turn into an $1,100 gamble; if you’re ok with the risk, then go for it. If you don’t actually have a need for the watch and you’re just trying to scoop up a watch at a good deal, then I might reconsider.

My in-laws used to own a jewelry store, and they had this Omega quartz watch in their storage. I can understand why this wasn’t sold during their clearance sale lol. I had no idea Omega made stuff like this in 1987! I guess they couldn’t help it after the rise of quartz watches in the 70s to 80s. I doubt they’re worth anything even to this day. I see them on eBay for $700-1200, so who knows…
