1. Las Vegas: proximity to Bay Area, LCOL, outdoor activities but concerned on schooling and negative influence of the strip

2. DFW: No outdoor activities but good job opportunities and schooling

3. Portland(OR): High MCOL, not diverse but decent schools, outdoor activities and close to Seattle for job opportunities

Strat consultants: work performance Remote vs In-Office. Do you find you are able to perform better in an office as there are less ways you can procrastinate or relax than at home?

Joining a big firm next week as fully remote lateral and flying out to home office for orientation. The schedule has me in office until 4:15. I’ve already been told I won’t have any actual work. Depending on how many people are there and how it feels, I was planning to stay an hour extra but should I hang around the office until later? First time visiting this city so it’d be great to take in some sights too (although that’s not a priority of course).

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Currently completing my first year as Senior in Audit and its become pretty apparent that going through the whole manager pipeline isn't really what I'd like to do.
