Love how the market is completely falling apart. A few years ago it was common sense a contractor got paid more in dollars to offset the lack of benefits. Now contract roles wanna pay the same salary you’d get full time and still offer no benefits. And full time jobs wanna pay salaries that didn’t fly 3-4 years ago for the same amount of work. CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?
